SIMPLIFILE Back End Java Developer in PROVO, Utah

Overview

Job Purpose As a back end developer with the Simplifile Submitter Team, you will apply your knowledge of software development methodologies, best practices, problem solving and industry experience to work with the team in the design, development, maintenance and support of the Submitter product and necessary supporting tools. Your work will primarily support the back-end portion of the Simplifile SAAS platform technology stack. Responsibilities * Responsible for assisting in all phases of the project life cycle including implementation, programming, testing, and maintaining software systems. * Help build high-quality, innovative, and fully performing software that complies with coding standards and technical designs. * Ensure high quality code via design reviews, code reviews and proper unit test coverage. * Collaborate with QA team to ensure quality production code. * Support process improvements which guide development activities. * Solve straightforward problems in development and provide solutions based on technical standards, practices and existing precedents or procedures. * Work effectively with members of the team, as well as other teams, vendors, and customers. * Frequent interaction with team and management to resolve issues or inquiries related to development, improving processes and procedures where possible. * Provide engineering level production support for the Simplifile application. Knowledge and Experience * Bachelor's degree in computer science or software/computer engineering. * 3 - 5+ years' experience with relevant software stack and processes. * Previous professional software engineering experience working in an Agile environment strongly preferred. * Experience with backend technologies, including Java, Spring, and/or MySQL. * Experience with MongoDB, ElasticSearch, TestNG preferred. * Familiarity with JSON, XML, XSL. * Familiarity with modern software development tools and processes. * Detail oriented with strong organizational skills. * Strong verbal and written communication skills. * Ability to work in a team environment. * Able to communicate and navigate effectively with internal and external customers to resolve technical issues and collaborate on new projects and integrations. Schedule This role offers work from home flexibility of one day per week.
