Job Title:  Assistant General Manager Job Location/Place of Employment Address: 1401 East 2000 South, Provo, Utah 84606 Job Duties/Description: McWane Ductile, a McWane Inc. facility in Provo, Utah, is an industry leader and manufacturer of ductile iron pipe, and other water distribution and infrastructure products. McWane Ductile seeks an Assistant General Manager who will be responsible for improving the goals, policies, strategies, and operations related to McWane Ductile's Utility Poles and Utility Poles casting product lines. The Assistant General Manager will leads and manage a strategic plan to achieve organizational objectives in safety, quality, operating cost, delivery, productivity and morale. Specific job duties and responsibilities include: (1) evaluating operational performance of product lines, building skills depth among salary employee ranks, and recommending/coordinating departmental goals and objectives to management team to maximize efficiency; (2) ensuring that product lines comply with government regulations (i.e., OSHA and EPA standards) and McWane's safety policies; (3) reviewing and analyzing Key Performance Indicators in Safety, Quality, and Productivity areas; (4) assessing and making recommendations for the department to establish a Continuous Improvement culture related to manufacturing processes, priorities, capacity, scheduling, metrics, forecasting, and employee involvement; (5) planning for and implementing the department's use of Lean Manufacturing; (6) guiding the department regarding the annual budget and annual cost reduction goals, and implementing procedures to meet identified goals and the corporate business plan; and (7) advising on improved practices, processes, and methods in Operations, Engineering, Maintenance, Purchasing, Inventory Management, and Shipping to achieve or exceed departmental goals and objectives. Qualifications MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: This position requires a Bachelor's degree or foreign degree equivalent in Business Administration, Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering or related field and three (3) years of work experience in the job offered or a closely related occupation in the metallurgical or foundry industry. This position also requires demonstrated knowledge and experience with: (i) continuous improvement, six sigma, and lean manufacturing; (ii) supply chain management; (iii) cost reduction; (iv) data analytics; (v) financial analysis and reporting; and (vi) forecasting.
