Summary: The Research Protocol Office Manager plays a crucial role in managing and overseeing the research protocol office within an organization.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (such as health care administration, research administration, or a related discipline), along with experience in research administration and protocol management will be required.

Licensure: Certification through ACRP or its equivalent preferred.

Experience: Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills as well as familiarity with relevant regulations and ethical guidelines is required.

Skills and Abilities:

· Knowledge of regulatory guidelines and compliance standards relevant to the research field.

· Strong organizational skill to manage and prioritize tasks effectively.

· Attention to detail to ensure accuracy and completeness in protocol documentation.

· Ability to lead and motivate a team of research coordinators.

· Ability to foster a collaborative environment within the research department and with external stakeholders.

· Strong problem-solving skills to address challenges and obstacles that may arise.

· Ability to effectively implement solutions.

· Ability to navigate an Electronic Medical Record (EMR) and other relevant software.

· Ability to make ethical decisions to ensure that research protocols comply with ethical standards.

· Ability to maintain required privacy of research subjects.

· Commitment to continuous learning.

· Basic understanding of budgeting and financial management for research protocols.

· Ability to assure the accuracy and integrity of research data.

· Adaptability to changing priorities and the ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
