We are seeking a full-time Porter/Janitorial Custodian at a scattered-site portfolio in the Providence West Elmwood Housing Development neighborhoods.

Job Functions:

  • Maintains building exterior, interior, and commons area floors by, sweeping, vacuuming, cleaning windows, washing, waxing, buffing, etc.

  • Maintains the appearance of sites by collecting and discarding trash from common areas and throughout the site on a daily basis.

  • Maintains sites to standards by observing and reporting damage for necessary repairs.

  • Performs minor repair work, as assigned.

  • Aids with snow removal by shoveling, salt/sanding, and operating other appropriate equipment.

  • Ensures that buildings are safely secured at the end of the shift

  • Assumes additional responsibilities as needed

  • Works overtime as required for snow removal.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to read product instructions and safety materials

  • Must have basic knowledge of Microsoft 365 and additional technology resources.

  • Ability to fill out and complete work orders accurately

  • Ability to communicate effectively with site staff and customers

  • Ability to operate light machinery and simple hand tools

  • Must have reliable transportation to travel between properties

Requirements

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is helpful.

  • Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver's license to travel between properties.
