Description

We are on the lookout for a dedicated Mapping Coordinator to become part of our team. This role is based in Rhode Island, is onsite 5 days a week, and offers a long-term contract employment opportunity. The job function involves supporting the Mapping/GIS supervisor, maintaining the backlog database, and generating reports to track performance. You will be working in an office setting, contributing to the mapping and engineering industry.

Responsibilities:

• Providing support to the Mapping/GIS supervisor in overseeing Mapping personnel

• Collecting and inputting mapping data into the RI GIS system

• Assisting the supervisor in training, monitoring, and developing personnel

• Reviewing, approving, and posting projects in the mapping system

• Maintaining and updating the backlog database regularly

• Generating and updating various reports for tracking performance

• Assisting the supervisor in ensuring department goals are met

• Leveraging strong computer skills to manage and monitor various systems

• Utilizing your knowledge of mapping systems to deliver efficient results

• Collaborating with suppliers to ensure smooth operation.

Requirements

• Proficiency in Training, both in-person and online, is necessary.

• Demonstrable experience with Database management and manipulation.

• Strong Computer Skills, including proficiency in MS Office and specialized mapping software.

• Capability to perform Backlog Grooming in project management.

• Proficiency in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) is crucial.

• A degree or equivalent experience in an Engineering Discipline is required.
