Position: Postdoctoral Research Associate Description: The Department of Ecology and Evolutionary Biology has a postdoctoral associate (or other senior research) position available studying social behavior of vampire bats, primarily at the Smithsonian Tropical Research Institute in Panama. Candidates are required to have a Ph.D. and several years of experience with neotropical bats, preferably with vampire bats. Excellent writing and speaking abilities in English and Spanish are essential as well as creativity, energy, and the desire to work in an interactive and inter-disciplinary environment. The Term of appointment is based on rank. Positions at the postdoctoral rank are for one year with the possibility of renewal pending satisfactory performance and continued funding; those hired at more senior ranks may have multi-year appointments. Research staff may be entitled to University benefits depending on time spent in Panama and the USA. This position is subject to the University's background check policy.
