We offer a dynamic workplace for employees to grow and develop their skills.Key Responsibilities:The Manager position is based in Princeton and reports directly to the Director, Finance Operations US. Support Group Tax on US Federal and State income tax returns including data gathering, analysis, as well as processing and recording payment - with a focus to optimize the data collection and the processes around taxes in general. Main contact responsible for US sales and use tax, payroll, and other local tax, including data gathering, analysis, and payment processing.Responsible for Accounting related activities including but not limited to account analysis and reconciliation, journal entry postings, and monthly OPEX accrual submission and entries.File various Government Reports, Census Surveys, and Business License FilingsSupport Payroll Accountant as backup to posting and reconciliation of warrants, salaries & bonus, incentive compensation, HR Benefits, and payroll taxes.Responsible to Implement, document, and maintain adequate and effective internal controls and processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.Serves as a superuser in D365 finance moduleSupport various Ad-hoc projectsKnowledge, Skills, and Experience include the following:5-7 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or a related field of study/auditor experience a plus; MBA or CPA preferred.Experience with IFRS and USGAAP, with detailed understanding of accounting methods, reporting, bookkeeping, reconciliations, and revenue recognition.Strong analytical, proactive problem-solving skills, and collaboration skills critical to the role.Play a key role in developing and implementing efficient processes and that will scale with the company Highest standards of accuracy and precision; extremely organized, detail-oriented, and mindful of deadlinesExcellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate issues and solutions to all levels of management.Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with multiple functional areas in a collaborative, team environment.Experience within Pharma/Biotech industry is preferredExperience with ERP and accounting system, preferably D365Ability to Travel up to 10% of the time domestically and internationallyA note to recruiters:We do not allow external search party solicitation.  Presentation of candidates without written permission from the Ascendis Pharma Inc Human Resources team (specifically from: Talent Acquisition Partner or Human Resources Director) is not allowed.  If this occurs your ownership of these candidates will not be acknowledged.
