Job Title: Laboratory Technician

Location: Princeton, NJ

Hours / Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm

Type: Contract, 6 months (with potential to extend up to 1 year)

Responsibilities

• Prepare Laundry product formulations (detergents) measure pH, specific gravity and viscosity, perform stability tests, detergent & softener performance evaluation, fragrance evaluation by test panels, record keeping and housekeeping.

• Conduct all applicable testing relating to fabric care in the Laundry Lab group.

• Will be utilizing washing machines for fabric care projects

  NOTE: There is a potential to drive to the Rocky Hill site, but only for a very infrequent period of time for when they are running bigger tests. On the very rare occasion it does occur, it would be for approximately 2 or 3 days consecutively that the Lab Tech would have to go to Rocky Hill for that specific time only. Candidates must be comfortable with this.

  Requirements

• BS In Chemistry, Biology or related Science – Recent grads OK!

• Hands on laboratory experience preferred (can be from school)

• Preference is for experience with wet chemistry (pH, viscosity, titrations, etc.)

• Must be comfortable lifting up to 40 lbs (e.g. lifting of laundry detergent and related products)

• Must be able to work in a fast paced, high priority environment

• Must have strong work ethic and attention to detail!

• Good Organizational and documentation skills (accurate lab notebook maintenance) Strong computer skills a plus. Should possess strong work ethic, and have good teamwork attitude.
