Overview Are you passionate about aviation and dedicated to guiding aspiring pilots towards excellence? We are seeking a motivated and experienced Certified Flight Instructor to join our team in Price, Utah. As a pivotal member of our flight training program, you will provide invaluable leadership and direction to flight students, fostering their growth and development in this dynamic field.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise Flight Training Activities: Oversee and coordinate flight training activities, ensuring efficient operation and adherence to established protocols.
  • Evaluate Flight Performance: Monitor and assess the performance of flight students, providing constructive feedback and guidance to facilitate their progress.
  • Provide Guidance to Lead Flight Instructors: Offer support and advice to lead flight instructors, leveraging your expertise to enhance instructional quality and effectiveness.
  • Conduct Assessments and Proficiency Checks: Perform stage checks, end-of-course tests, and flight instructor proficiency checks to uphold rigorous standards of competence and safety.
  • Ensure Regulatory Compliance: Ensure strict compliance with Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs), maintaining a culture of safety and adherence to industry standards.
  • Support Standardization Efforts: Assist in conducting initial and annual recurrent standardization of flight instructors, promoting consistency and excellence in teaching practices.
  • Contribute to Teaching Techniques: Contribute to the development and maintenance of standardized teaching techniques and procedures, fostering innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Engage with Prospective Students: Interview prospective students and parents, articulating program offerings and fostering a welcoming and informative experience.
  • Monitor Student Progress: Monitor the progress of students and maintain accurate student training records, facilitating personalized support and tracking achievement.
  • Promote Safety Awareness: Maintain the safety manual and assist in teaching safety classes on campus, at airports, or as directed, prioritizing a culture of safety and risk mitigation.
  • Facilitate Staff Meetings: Schedule and lead meetings with flight instructor staff, fostering collaboration, communication, and continuous improvement.
  • Additional Duties: Perform other duties as assigned, contributing to the overall success and effectiveness of the flight training program.

Qualifications Minimum Qualifications:

  • Hold Airplane Certified Flight Instructor Certificates.

  • Hold Ground Instructor Certificate

  • Meet Pilot in Command (PIC) recent flight experience requirements as outlined in FAR Part 61.57, underscoring the commitment to maintaining currency and proficiency.
