In this role, you will implement and familiarise new and existing clients with the functionality of ADPs combined payroll and HR systems. You carry the weight of ADP’s service reputation and client satisfaction in your hands.

The nature of your job is to support clients by implementing payroll setups in compliance with legislative requirements whilst building and maintaining sustainable client relationships to ensure recurring business. Every day will be challenging because the requests you receive will vary. WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT ON A TYPICAL DAY:

  • Responsible for implementing any additional features/modules/methods, etc.

  • Understand the client’s internal business needs, and make recommendations and provide solutions to meet these needs

  • Develop and maintain effective, proactive relationships and communications with clients and ADP departments/associates to contribute to a successful overall client experience

  • Establish and manage activities towards project milestones independently or in conjunction with Project Manager

  • Communicate continuously with clients and ADP Project Managers regarding project status as necessary to ensure all assigned tasks are completed according to schedule

  • Interpret issues and find creative solutions to help the business with their long-term needs

  • Perform adequate system testing and present findings to the wider project- team

  • Manage meetings, facilitate workshops and deliver presentations

  • Ensure that the project is running to established time scales and attend project meetings with the client to discuss progress and critical issues

  • Create bespoke reports and Interfaces

  • Perform any activity outside of the monthly payroll process, such as tax year end

TO SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE:

  • You must have 3+ years payroll experience or experience as an HRIS practitioner with payroll systems experience (Sage300 and/or Premier are essential)

  • Have a diploma / degree in commerce / human resources or any related qualification / experience

  • Experience in a client facing-role

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & ATTRIBUTES:

  • Effective time management skills

  • Effective communication skills

  • In-depth SA payroll knowledge

  • Knowledge of SA payroll tax legislation

  • Knowledge of SA labour legislation

  • Ability to work independently and provide solutions to the clients

  • Ability to influence clients and guide towards best solution to help resolve needs

BONUS POINTS FOR THESE:

  • Experience in a Payroll Outsourcing environment will be advantageous

  • Knowledge of other African countries payroll tax legislation will be advantageous

  • End to end implementation experience within the HCM space (Preferred)
