Microsoft Corporation Senior Content Designer (Teams) in Prague, Czech Republic

Come join our creative, can-do content design team for Microsoft Teams! We’re a team of end-user focused UX content designers and content strategists, and we’re looking for a versatile, tech-savvy content designer to join us in creating Microsoft Teams—and shaping the future of work for millions of people around the world, no big deal.

Teams is Microsoft’s chat-based workspace offering. It’s all the people, content, tools, and conversations you need to get work done in one place—a hub for teamwork. Our content design work for Teams includes user interface text, first-run experiences, in-product contextual assistance and notifications, information architecture, user research, experimentation, help and support articles, and more. On a typical day in this role, you might:

  • Work with an interaction designer to craft copy for a user interaction flow.

  • Do a terminology exploration for a new concept.

  • Develop copy treatments for a user research study or in-product experiment.

  • Bring your voice to a design critique of proposed features or scenarios.

  • Draft a new entry for our term list and review with the team.

  • Review customer comments and update copy to improve understanding.

  • Evaluate accessibility of content and create screen reader-friendly copy.

  • Observe a customer study.

  • Contribute to content frameworks and guidelines to ensure consistency and quality.

And you’ll do it all as a member of the Microsoft Teams design studio, in partnership with our world-class designers, researchers, content creators, marketers, and engineering teams. You’ll create new product experiences, and your words will help customers learn, solve their problems, and get the most out of Microsoft Teams.

You’ll love this role if:

  • You’re passionate about words, design, and technology.

  • You know the names of a few parts of speech.

  • You love a variety of writing challenges—from teeny mobile spaces to coherent cross-product flows.

  • You dig digging into metrics and customer feedback.

  • You thrive in creative, collaborative cultures, yet are disciplined, organized, and able to independently manage the details of your work.

  • You’re proactive about communicating priorities and trade-offs—and adjusting as you get feedback.

  • You’re self-aware, growth-minded, and composed.

  • You understand the broader context of your work, and can always map your activities to both customer needs and business goals.

  • Most of all, you care about the people who are using technology, and making their experiences better.

Microsoft’s mission is to empower every person and every organization on the planet to achieve more. As employees we come together with a growth mindset, innovate to empower others, and collaborate to realize our shared goals. Each day we build on our values of respect, integrity, and accountability to create a culture of inclusion where everyone can thrive at work and beyond.
