Responsibilities
Help identify and deliver against program Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) by coordinating the team’s strategy and tactics.
Partner with stakeholders and contributors to define the plan for each release and collaborate closely with engineering teams to deliver per plan.
Partner with the internal Rust community and strategic Microsoft teams to manage a tight feedback loop to strengthen Rust tooling and drive these requirements across engineering teams to deliver on these goals.
Work with all major fundamental areas including security, reliability, compatibility, inter-operability, accessibility, privacy, globalization/localization, and more.
Expands end-to-end technical expertise in the architecture, code, features, operations and comprehensive use/scenarios of products in order to drive continuous improvements and reduce overall developer toil.
Provide deep business and technical expertise to manage dependencies across multiple work streams and identify potential risk areas and optimizations through data-driven approaches.
Shares and defines insights, best practices, and standards that can be applied to improve system, platform, and/or product development and operations across the business.

Qualifications
Required/Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree AND extensive experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development
OR equivalent experience.
Experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.
Additional/Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent skills, and/or practical experience
Extensive experience in a software development, technical program management, or a similar role delivering platform or service features
Experience with driving compliance areas in a software development setting
Experience reading and/or writing/creating documentation/specifications/project artifacts
Experience in software development or dev-ops
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:
Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
