We are currently looking for German and English speaker for a position of Customs Specialist (f/md/) with focus on global customs in import to join our team in Hub Warsaw for Smart Infrastructure Division. The main mission of this role is to ensure the best-in-class customs conformity. The successful candidate should have a good understanding of customs and transport procedures and a basic knowledge of supply chain management.

We require 1 day of work from the office.

What will be your future tasks?

• Check import, export, and EU deliveries of duty unpaid goods for conformity according to customs documents and instructions (e.g. number of packages, customs seal)

• Coordinate clarifications with experts for non-conformity

• Act self-responsible for example selecting the appropriate customs procedure, the nature of transaction

• Determine the customs value on your own

• Prepare customs declarations (e.g. HS-code, functional purpose, value, etc.) for tax return with focus on financial factor and submit to next levels of approval

• Provide the data and documents required for the import and check them for plausibility and obtain the missing data from internal/external business partners to follow customs deadlines

• Prepare the monthly reports for the Federal Statistical Office and even submit it directly in the exceptional handling for Sweden

• Cooperate closely with various internal departments and external business partners (globally).

If you:

• Are good in written and verbal communication in German (C1) and English (B2)

• You have completed commercial training in the field of freight forwarding/logistics or

• Have proven min. 3 to 5-years-experience as a Customs or Transportation Specialist or similar role

• Have further knowledge in supply chain management is a plus

• We want to continuously optimize our processes, which is why you have a high affinity in this field and the ability to quickly familiarize yourself with new topics

• Well know SAP ERP and MS Office applications

• You are act detail-oriented, prioritizing quality and accuracy to achieve successful outcomes.

• You keep the overview even in stressful situations

• You’re a team player, actively listening to others showing a constructive attitude

• You have a confident appearance in dealing with internal and external partners

• You are willing to travel upon request and necessity (up to 10%)...
