Confidential Development and Training Manager in Powell, Ohio

Purpose This role is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing comprehensive training programs that enhance employee performance and promote a culture of continuous learning and improvement. This role requires a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of leadership development, compliance training, and best practices for adult learning. Additional responsibilities include managing the Learning Management System (LMS) and overseeing the development, implementation, and delivery of online training programs, tracking and reporting on training outcomes, ensuring compliance, and continuously improving the learning experience. Job Duties

  •  Design and develop innovative training programs and content that meet organizational needs and promote employee growth.
  • Develop, design, and create course content, including presentations, videos, case studies, workbooks, written assignments, quizzes, and interactive modules, to enhance the learning experience.
  • Apply instructional design principles and adult learning theories to ensure effectiveness.
  • Stay current on compliance requirements such as labor and employment regulations and standards, ensuring up-to-date and relevant training content.
  • Design and develop HR-related training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of HR professionals within the organization.
  • Maintain the program and course catalog and website, ensuring it is comprehensive, accurate, and up-to date.
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the Learning Management System (LMS), including user account management, course uploads, system configuration, guidance to employees on how to use the system, and provide technical support.
  • Coordinate the rollout and delivery of courses and programs, ensuring they are accessible to the appropriate employees.
  • Ensure assignments are submitted on time and evaluate submissions thoroughly to reflect the participant's performance against the predefined standards.
  • Offer constructive and actionable feedback to participants, highlighting what they did well and where they can improve.
  • Ensure the success of the development programs by assessing skill gaps for individual participants and making recommendations for further improvement.
  • Develop and manage the budget, ensuring efficient resource use.
  • Monitor the cost of development programs and courses to analyze market trends, competitor pricing, and internal expenses while considering the value provided and feedback to ensure competitive and sustainable pricing strategies.
  • Develop and implement evaluation methods, including feedback surveys, assessments, and performance metrics, to assess the effectiveness of training programs.
  • Generate reports and provide regular updates on training participation, completion rates, and outcomes to senior leadership for review.
  • Based on the overall performance data, adjust the curriculum, assignments, or grading criteria to improve effectiveness.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, Organizational Development, Communication, or a related field.
  • Proven track record of designing and implementing effective training programs.
  • Knowledge of legal and regulatory requirements related to employee and labor laws.
  • Proficient technical skills and knowledge of Learning Management Systems.
  • Highly skilled in the use of Adobe and MS Office Applications. (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
