Description

SUMMARY:Performs laboratory tests relevant to the section(s) in which they are assigned including quality control testing following established criteria. Responsible for performing routine and non-routine activitiespertaining tolaboratory testing and the reporting of results under the guidance of the Medical Technologist. Performs assigned analytical testing procedures inan accurate,preciseandtimelymanner. In addition, performs clerical and computer related activitieswith a degree of supervision dependent on experience andtraining.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Education: ASwith an MLT degree

Experience: One year experience

License: Valid New York State TechnicianLicense

Working Conditions:

Manual: significant manual skills/motor coord & finger dexterity

Occupational: Some occupational risk

Physical Effort: Very Heavy effort. May exert up to 50 lbs. force

Physical Environment: Some exposure to dirt, odors, noise, human waste, etc.
