POSITION OVERVIEW This is a full-time position eligible for benefits. We offer on-the-job training for entry level candidates and are looking for someone who is willing to learn and can be a team player. We are a global company who can offer opportunities for advancement in the future.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following: Painter Responsibilities

  • Working individually and as a member of a crew, paints such project facilities and equipment as switchboards,oil storage tanks (inside and outside), piping, generation equipment, air compressors, transformers, steel powerhouse superstructure, etc
  • Prepares the surface to be covered by wiping, washing, sandpapering, wire brushing, scraping, flame cleaning or sandblasting.
  • Applies pre-mixed paints, varnishes, lacquers, primers, enamels, synthetic enamels, coal tar enamels, bitumastic and other protective coatings.
  • Mixes colors so that new work will dry to match existing work.
  • Erects own scaffolding and staging to work from.
  • Works in hazardous locations from boatswain's chairs, long ladders, and scaffolds.
  • May work in deep shafts, high on steel structures, on roof girders, hanging over water, inside oil tanks, on building roofs on water towers and in other such locations.
  • Inspects and maintains his/her own safety equipment.
  • Must comply with hazardous materials and waste handling procedures.
  • May assist other crews as needed.

Shop Technician Responsibilities

  • Efficient equipment maintenance according to industry and company standards
  • Complete any required documentation, including work-orders and expense/budget reports
  • Keep job site/work area neat, clean, and organized
  • Observe and comply with all company policies and safety standards
  • Complete any other assigned tasks to contribute to effective operation of the service and repair department
  • Performs routine inspection and preventative maintenance on assigned equipment and refer defects or needed repairs to appropriate personnel (supervisor, shop electrician, etc.), clean equipment.
  • Diagnose and disassembles equipment, daily, to determine the specific repair needed.
  • Troubleshoots and performs failure analysis of equipment parts and systems.
  • Builds, rebuilds, and repair all parts for needed equipment.
  • Ensures that equipment meets job specifications before loading and delivery to job location.
  • Receives and stocks parts and supplies in inventory room.
  • Operates heavy equipment in efforts to retrieve, delivery equipment in the appropriate areas of shop.
  • Properly follow company and OSHA safety procedures. Responsible for bringing problems to the attention of the field superintendent and safety manager.
  • Must have working knowledge of hazards and safety precautions common to heavy equipment operations.

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

  • Industrial spray coating: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Heavy Equipment Operation: 1 year (Preferred)
  • High school or equivalent (Preferred)
  • US work authorization
