Job Description

Insight Global is in search of an Angio Vascular Technologist in the Portsmouth, VA area to support a government client on a long term contract. The ideal candidate specializes in interventional angiography. You will perform a full range of procedures on patients to accurately diagnose and treat vascular conditions. Your responsibilities include evaluating patient responses, assisting during invasive procedures, ensuring radiation safety, and maintaining equipment. Additionally, you log patient information, assess contrast compatibility, recognize critical symptoms, and manage emergency situations. You play a crucial role in identifying anatomical structures and acute pathology, while also managing supplies and equipment maintenance.

Skills and Requirements

  • ARRT registration with a subspecialty certification as a Vascular-Interventional Radiography (VI) Technologist or Cardiac Interventional (CV) as determined by ARRT

     - 1 year full-time experience as a diagnostic radiologic technologist within the preceding 2 years, to include experience with digital imaging

     - Have completed 12 hours of continuing medical education approved by ARRT within the last 12 months

     - Can provide evidence of work experience as a FT angiography technologist of at least 18 months within the preceding 24 months

       Must include experience with digital imaging and electronic Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS)

     - 2 letters of recommendation written within the last 2 years attesting to your clinical skills

       1 must be from a practicing radiologist who has personally observed and evaluated

1 can be from a clinic of hospital administrator, physician or nurse with personal knowledge of your patient care skills null
