The Portsmouth Marriott Hotel is looking for a Conference and Banqueting Manager who has a passion for creating memorable events!

We are looking for an enthusiastic Conference and Banqueting Manager who is keen to grow inside the biggest hotel company in the world, at Portsmouth Marriott Hotel. Located near famous landmarks such as the Spinnaker Tower has a range of amenities including: Cast Iron Bar & Grill, our signature restaurant and fitness centre.

As the Conference and Banqueting Manager you will…

  • Manage and lead a range of of memorable and special events including weddings and business meetings.

  • Work enthusiastically as a leader

  • Utilise interpersonal and communication skills to lead, influence, and encourage others; advocates sound financial/business decision making; demonstrates honesty/integrity; leads by example.

  • Accountable for overall success of the Conference and Banqueting operations

  • Lead shifts and serve as a role model and drive training & development for the team

  • Works to continually improve guest and event satisfaction while maximizing the financial performance in all areas of responsibility.

  • Ensures compliance with all relevant Conference and Banqueting policies, standards and procedures.

  • Establish and maintain open, collaborative relationships with the rest of the hotel team.

  • Understand the impact of Banquet operations on the overall success of an event to maximize customer satisfaction
