Job Summary
Experienced head of configuration management, mastering both the processes required to setup/perform configuration management activities under standards for use in safety- and mission-critical airborne systems and mentoring the configuration engineers in their personal and professional growth, managing team activities and priorities.
Responsibilities and Duties
Definition/maintenance of the Configuration Management policies required by standards/company needs.
Supervision of the HW/SW configuration management activities related with avionic equipment designed by Civitanavi, in accordance with applicable standards.
Supervision of the life cycle data items produced during the design phase to check their compliance with the applicable standards and with Company procedures.
Supervision of the Change Control Board activities held during the design and production phase.
Mentoring the configuration engineers in their personal and professional growth, assuring setted goals/behaviours are achieved
Managing daily configuration team activities and prioritize them
Qualifications and Skills
Required Skills
Master’s degree in computer science, electronic engineering, aerospace engineering, management engineering or similar disciplines
Minimum of 5 years of experience in configuration management activities for aerospace industry (based on SAE_EIA-649 standard as a reference)
Experience in team (1-5 peoples) coaching and management
Familiarity with Product Lifecycle Management tools
Professional ethics and preparation for collaborative work in multidisciplinary/international teams
Attitude to work in pipeline, taking over the artifacts (documents, code) generated by other members in the working team
Organized and systematic to maintain documentation in appropriate order
Strong interpersonal and communications skills
Knowledge of Italian and English Language, both in writing/reading technical documentation and in speaking/listening during project meeting and design reviews
Preferred Skills
Experience in avionic software certification
Familiarity with Siemens Teamcenter PLM
Familiarity with SAP ERP
Knowledge of software development life cycle in accordance with avionic standards (RTCA DO-178C): planning, requirements, design, development, integration, verification, conformity
Knowledge of Complex Hardware development in accordance with RTCA DO-254 and EASA AMC20-152A standards.
