WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:

As a Warehouse and Supply Supervisor, you will supervise and lead staff and daily operations in a biomedical warehouse. This is a working supervisor position and will require hands-on interaction and leadership. You will review effectiveness of current operations and ensure compliance with regulations and procedures to drive effective and efficient inventory management. Provide support, development and/or leadership guidance to all volunteers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that materials are received, stored, shipped, and reported in accordance with established procedures.

  • Ensure all functions are performed in accordance with all applicable regulatory policies and/or procedures and in a timely manner to meet customer needs.

  • Direct and supervise staff including hiring, training, coaching, evaluating and disciplining to ensure a well-qualified team and to enhance operational success.

  • Support efforts towards the purchasing of supplies, equipment and services.

  • Review effectiveness of operating procedures, maintenance, space utilization, and protection, training, and utilization of material handling equipment. Troubleshoot problem areas, address concerns, and make recommendations for changes to foster operating improvements.

  • May initiate and communicate a variety of personnel actions including employment, termination, performance and salary reviews, disciplinary actions, scheduling and/or approving overtime.

  • Manage forms, equipment, and inventory using system-wide standardized warehouse management software.

Standard Schedule : Monday through Friday, day shift. Supervisors will need to be on call in the event on emergencies at the facility.

Pay Information : $60,000 per year +, Depending on experience.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED:

  • Experience: Minimum 3 years of related experience in inventory management, warehousing or logistics or equivalent combination of education and related experience required. Management Experience: Minimum of 1 year of lead or supervisory experience.

  • Skills & Abilities: Demonstrated skills in planning, organizing, service excellence, and follow through. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. High level of customer service satisfaction. Computer literacy, and familiarity with Microsoft products, inventory systems or other warehouse management software required. Anility to work on a team.

  • Travel: Some travel may be required.

Physical Requirements

Depending on work assignment, the ability to stand, walk and manipulate (lift, carry, move) light to medium weights of up to 20 pounds. Requires good hand-eye coordination, arm, hand and finger dexterity, including ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard, operate equipment and read technical information. Overall mobility is essential. May include sitting for long periods of time, driving a vehicle and working under challenging conditions.
