Jamie Benway with Robert Half currently has a vacancy for a permanent Senior Accountant to bring their leadership skills and experience to a growing finance team in the PORTLAND, Oregon area. As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for financial statement preparation and consolidation, account analysis and reconciliations, cash flow analysis, budgets and forecasting, audit preparation, and internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. Your responsibilities in this role

• Commitment to continuously improve the automation of the accounting and reporting process

• Provide assistance in coordinating quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external

• Assemble monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management reporting

• Uphold company standards when working with business partners to ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures and controls; while also providing support on special requests when required

• Provide monthly accounting closure procedures and deliverables, which includes journal entries, reconciliations, reports in compliance with GAAP

• Supply Balance Sheet account reconciliations

• Manage Ad-hoc projects as necessary

• Offer involvement in various department-wide initiatives

• Prepare financial analysis on trends, performance metrics, benchmarks, etc.

Requirements - Seizes opportunities to produce results without direct supervision

• Experience with ERP systems

• BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are preferred

• SEC reporting and SOX compliance is a plus

• Prior experience in a public accounting environment is highly valued

• Ability to thrive in a dynamic, high pressure environment, to prioritize deals and adapt to quick changes while remaining diligent

• Ability to handle multiple projects within strict deadlines

• Attentive, ability to work independently and prioritize tasks

• Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines

• 3-5 years of overall general accounting experience, ideally with Big 4 experience

• Familiarity with corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems required

• Sound written and verbal communication skills

• Demonstrated ability in exemplary analytical, quantitative and social skills

• Month end closings experience
