Join Our Team as a Specimen Processor at Interpath Laboratory in Portland, OR! We are seeking a responsible and focused Specimen Processor with outstanding attention to detail to enhance our team. In this role, you will be responsible for: Administrative duties: Verifying accuracy of client and specimen details, answering phones, and monitoring for safety hazards. Technical responsibilities: Receiving, sorting, and labeling specimens according to strict guidelines; aliquoting and centrifuging specimens; processing samples to meet turnaround times; and translating physician orders and diagnoses. Accurate data management:Ensuring correct data entry and patient identification while maintaining specimen integrity from collection to transfer. Specimen handling:Receiving, processing, and packaging samples for referral labs, ensuring proper labeling and handling. Compliance:Adhering to safety protocols, HIPAA policies, Medicare rules, and participating in departmental quality assurance. Flexibility:Covering shifts at different sites as needed to maintain smooth operations and performing other assigned duties.
