Our Control Panel Assemblers either assemble or modify electronic equipment (e.g., Building Automation, Fire, and Security Control Panels) with the use electromechanical tools and equipment and wiring schematics. This assembler will join our Panel Fabrication Shop at our Hillsboro, OR facility and will be required to work 1st shift.  

As a Control Panel Assembler , you will: 

  • Operate tools and equipment common to the mechanical and/or wiring trade (e.g., hand & power tools, wire strippers, pliers, crimpers)

  • Read and interpret documents associated with the completion of mechanical and/or wiring assembly assignments (e.g., blueprints, bill of materials, one-line diagrams, etc.). Gather parts and accessories required in the assembly process

  • Assemble fabricated parts to build unit assemblies or subassemblies; fasten component parts on frames, subassemblies, or unit assemblies, connect cables and basic wires and verify that units meet specifications, tolerances, and customer order requirements

  • Disassemble units to adjust or replace part, mark unit assemblies with identifying information and/or attach identifying tags

  • Report non-conforming items (e.g., parts, schematics, blueprints, etc.), prepare finished units for shipping (e.g., packing, sealing, labeling, etc.)

  • Clean and maintain equipment and work area to ensure accurate functioning and safe working conditions

  • With the use of computers, access and apply various documents associated with the manufacture of products in assembly (e.g. quality and safety documents, operating Instructions, etc.) and perform other work as advised by supervisor

Basic Qualifications:   

  • High school diploma or state-recognized GED 

  • Must be able to demonstrate basic computer skills, and use of basic mechanical/measuring tools

  • Must be able and willing to lift parts or sub-assemblies that weigh up to 75lbs, push/pull/slide heavy material, stoop, bend, squat, crawl, and climb

  • Verbal and written communication skills in English

  • Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship

  • The pay range for this position is $42,420 - $72,720. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications and premium geographic location.
