Job Title: Plumbing Designer

Job Description

Create and develop mechanical and plumbing design documents used for planning, permitting, bidding, and construction. Design HVAC/mechanical and plumbing systems for commercial and government buildings, schools, apartments, tenant installs, and other projects ranging from small to large new buildings and renovations. Design of ductwork, fans, dampers, inlets, and outlets, etc. Design of boiler plants and hydronic piping. Design of building plumbing systems including water heating, pumps, etc. Design of gas piping. Design of ductwork and piping hangers and supports. Perform engineering calculations. Conduct energy modeling. Create detailed BIM and CAD models of ductwork and piping for manufacture and assembly. Write and develop construction specifications. Write project proposals and design cost estimates. Coordinate with installers in a fast-paced environment. Participate in project meetings. Interact professionally with architects, owners, general contractors, and team members and design engineering for facility and commercial new builds/construction.

This is in Portland, Oregon.

Work Environment

Preferably in office positions. However, some hybrid work may be offered if the candidate has experience and can take on tasks without much guidance. Experience level will dictate the flexibility allowed. Looking for a self-sufficient individual.
