*See Full Job Listing at Massage Therapist\'s (MT) provide injury prevention services for musculoskeletal conditions in AFSPECWAR operators. The MT shall evaluate and provide massage therapy to personnel as part of an injury prevention program. Performance enhancement is intended to strengthen core musculoskeletal (MSK) system to enhance resistance to injury. Also, healthy lifestyle education is addressed as part of an overall health maintenance program to enhance injury resistance. Such massage therapy as part of an overall program, focusing on neck and back soft tissue dysfunction and tactical athlete recovery, to improve the overall quality of life for AFSPECWAR personnel. Duties and Responsibilities: Provide initial evaluation. Evaluate and provide massage therapy for all assigned AFSPECWAR operators. Follow-up appointments will be based on need, injury prevention plans. Develop Individualized Program (IP) for each member served. The MT, working with other team members will develop an IP for each assigned member requesting services of the MT. Provide ongoing massage therapy. The MT will optimize scheduling to maximize the benefit to the operators involved. The MT will determine the optimal time for each therapy visit and ensure as many of the AFSPECWAR team members as practical receive therapy. This will involve assessing the greatest needs and implementing a schedule strategy to best meet the needs. Advise unit commanders on matters related to injury prevention. Identify opportunities for improvement and advise unit command on a variety of administrative matters such as required supplies/equipment relevant to services proved. Conduct equipment, product, and literature reviews to ensure the HPO program continues to improve as our understanding of injury prevention evolves. Communicate with the servicing MTF when a member has a medical condition or injury requiring medical care. Ensure safe and effective operation of equipment and contribute to a safe working environment. Attend annual required training IAW guiding instructions. Other related duties as assigned. Required Qualifications: High School Diploma and eight (8) years of specialized experience or an associate degree and four (4) years of specialized experience or a bachelor\'s degree and two (2) years of specialized experience. MT must possess and maintain an active, current, and unrestricted license or certification from the U.S. jurisdiction where the service is to be provided. MT must have graduated from a MT certification program. A minimum of two (2) years\' experience working with professional and/or collegiate athletes, SOF personnel, or equivalent. Possess current certification in basic Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) to include Automated External Defibrillator (AED) training. Capable of meeting physical demands of training with AFSPECWAR, including the ability to hike over rough terrain and function in austere environments to observe AFSPECWAR training evolutions and the ability to assist with strength and conditioning testing and training protocols. Ability to lift and manipulate loads and plates up to 25 kilograms.
