*Community Warehouse has launched a 4-day workweek! General hours for this position are Tuesday-Friday, 8:30 AM-5:30 PM (34 hours/week). About Community Warehouse: Community Warehouse (CW) is a nonprofit furniture bank that redistributes donated furniture and household goods to neighbors overcoming adversity. Through two furniture banks in the greater Portland metropolitan area and referrals from over 200 partner agencies, the Warehouse helps families and individuals turn their empty housing into comfy homes. Families are able to pick out essential household items that help improve their quality of life at home. We also operate an Estate Store and online store that sell some donated items to support our mission and engage the community in shopping for a cause. Position Summary: The Finance Coordinator supports all departments with daily business office responsibilities, including administrative and financial duties, to ensure a positive and efficient operating environment at Community Warehouse. Administrative Responsibilities: - Process incoming and outgoing mail - Organize and file documents - In collaboration with the Operations and Finance Manager respond to staff needs/questions for Business office - Assist with special projects as needed Financial Responsibilities: - Process bills, checks, and cash receipts - Assist in managing Accounts Receivable and communicate / send invoices to customers / partner agencies - Enter Accounts Payable and communicate with vendors - Assist with compiling financial records for audit and taxes, year-end closing procedures, and special projects as needed Physical Demands* - Ability to sit or stand for extended periods - Ability to answer phones - Keying/typing - Lifting between 1-5 lbs - Concentrated and continuous mental and visual attention; the work involves performing complex tasks to very close accuracy, and is both repetitive and diversified *Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
