We are recruiting an Enteral Coordinator to join our team of health care professionals. As an Enteral Coordinator, you will support enteral/parenteral nutrition patients by coordinating supply and formula provisions in an accurate and timely basis. Maintain a positive working relationship with all related nutrition staff to maximize the effectiveness of the nutrition program. Job type: Full-time, hybrid Pay range: $20.07-$25.09, depending on experience Benefits: Competitive pay Flexible PTO and paid company holidays Medical, dental, vision, disability and life insurance 401(k) match Position responsibilities: Manage incoming calls from referral sources to initiate or discontinue enteral services. Respond to incoming calls from patients, caregivers, and health care providers regarding patient enteral supply needs. Collaborate with clinical liaisons, discharge planners and other referral sources to coordinate care for prospective enteral patients. Confirm insurance and benefit eligibility on all new referrals. Perform monthly verification of coverage for long term Medicaid patients. Create and review the Cost Disclosure/Advance Beneficiary Notice for Medicare patients and track signed forms. Generate and review benefits letter to inform patient of financial responsibility. Coordinate scheduling and delivery of supplies. Perform monthly monitoring of enteral nutrition including any problems or non-compliance to the appropriate staff member. Frequent review of supply inventory and provide patients with supplies based on established guidelines. Communicate with appropriate staff member regarding feeding pump needs or problems. Ensure accurate tracking of nutrition therapy equipment, schedule enteral pump swaps for annual maintenance as required by ACHC and as needed. Contact patients at completion of therapy to arrange for equipment pic up. Maintain current enteral orders, track expiration dates and contacts physician for new or updated orders as appropriate. Observe legal and ethical guidelines for safeguarding the confidentiality of patient information Required skills: HS diploma or GED Experience in home infusion or home health Customer service experience Insurance verification and reimbursement experience Experience in organizing information and communication with the patient and colleagues Excellent oral and written communication skills Flexible and able to work effectively in multidisciplinary team Knowledge of basic medical terminology Basic competency with Microsoft Office software Experience in enteral nutrition Experience ordering products and coordinating deliveries Knowledge of medical records, reimbursement of enteral therapies Our ideal candidate has: Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to effectively collaborate in a team setting. Proficiency in standard workplace software and/or information management applications. Prior experience working in an infusion pharmacy or healthcare setting. Ability to navigate computer applications.
