Description
Sue Sumrell is recruiting for a Corporate Controller for a long standing local corporation on the Southeast side of Portland. This role will provide strategic direction and business partnering with the CFO! In office will be required.
This opportunity will require experience in the manufacturing industry.
The Corporate Controller will play a crucial role in managing accounting operations, monthly close, and financial reporting, as well as providing leadership and mentoring to staff members.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee and manage the monthly close procedures and accounting operations
• Handle financial reporting and ensure accuracy and compliance with regulations
• Partner with various business units across the organization for efficient operations
• Lead and mentor staff members, fostering a conducive work environment
• Implement strategies for staff development and training
• Leverage your experience with audit and financial reporting to enhance processes
• Ensure international operations are financially stable and profitable
• Foster strong relationships within the organization for seamless operations
• Ensure all customer credit applications are processed accurately and efficiently
• Maintain accurate customer credit records and monitor customer accounts to take appropriate action when necessary.

Requirements
• Possess a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
• Hold a CPA (Certified Public Accountant) certification preferred
• Have a minimum of 10 years of experience in a corporate controller role in a manufacturing environment
• Proven experience with financial reporting, auditing, and budgeting
• Excellent knowledge of data analysis and forecasting methods
• Proficient in the use of a Tier One ERP system
• Strong understanding of costing and inventory
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Exceptional analytical and strategic planning abilities
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• High ethical standards and professionalism, with a commitment to confidentiality.
