OFFICE ASSOCIATE (Part-Time, 30 hours) Parks, Recreation and Facilities Department

The mission of Portland Parks, Recreation, and Facilities Department is to enhance the quality of life through people, parks, and programming while creating lasting memories for the people of Portland and its visitors. We are seeking to fill our Front Desk Office Associate position. The ideal candidate will be hard working, reliable, efficient, creative, approachable and fun.

Work hours will be 8am-4:30pm, Tuesday through Friday.

This position is a front desk position working with the public and providing administrative support to all divisions within the Parks, Recreation and Facilities Department. Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to customer service, administrative work, applications and registrations for department programs, rentals and permits. This position also assists with departmental communications which includes updating social media, website, monthly newsletters, calendar maintenance, event tracking and all communication related duties as required.

Requirements: Working knowledge and experience with a multi-line phone system. Working knowledge of program registration and/or facility scheduling software, thorough knowledge of Google Suite, as well as modern office equipment practices and procedures. Must possess excellent customer service skills. Successful candidates must possess a valid Class C drivers license and have a clean driving record. Offers of employment are contingent upon the completion of a satisfactory criminal background check.

CEBA Union position - Grade 9 Pay range starting at \$20.34/hour. Accepting applications until position is filled.
