Aerotek Quality Inspector in Portland, Connecticut

Job Title: Quality Inspector

Job Description

We are seeking a Quality Inspector to join our team, focusing on the production inspection of airfoils. This role involves complex visual and dimensional inspections using various measuring tools, including CMM, to ensure compliance with specifications derived from purchase orders, special process certifications, operation sheets, and blueprints. The successful candidate will play a critical role in supporting manufacturing operations by ensuring that final parts are correctly inspected before delivery.

Hard Skills

  • Understanding of GD&T

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints

  • Complex visual and dimensional inspection

  • Experience with first article, first piece, receiving, in-process, and final inspection

  • Proficiency in operating CMM machines for inspecting aerospace parts

  • In Process Inspection

  • Final Inspection

  • Calibration tech

  • Visual inspection

Job Type

This is a permanent position.

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Portland, Connecticut.

Work Environment

The position is situated within a manufacturing company producing airfoils for the aerospace industry, where you will be joining an 80-person team primarily working on the manufacturing floor. This role requires close collaboration with machinists, engineers, and outside vendors to support critical manufacturing operations
