THE POSITION Moraine State Park Complex is currently in need of an Equipment Operator B, and the Department of Conservation & Natural Resources is actively searching for the right candidate to fill this position. As an Equipment Operator B, you will be responsible for carrying out various tasks that are essential for the smooth functioning of the park complex. This role requires dedication, as the duties are performed seven days a week, and you may be required to work on weekends, evenings, and even holidays to ensure the efficient operation of the parks and meet the demands of different seasons. DESCRIPTION OF WORK

The role involves executing proficient tasks related to operating equipment and/or vehicles, particularly those with a gross vehicle weight exceeding 32,001 pounds, as well as carrying out manual labor for the upkeep and management of a state park.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment
  • 7 day/week operation. Employee will work 5 of 7 days per week/37.5 hours per week. Weekend, holidays, and evenings will be required.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • One year of experience as an Equipment Operator A; or
  • Two years of experience in the operation of heavy construction and specialized maintenance equipment used at this level with a gross vehicle weight of 32,001 pounds or more: or
  • Any equivalent combination of experience or training.

Special Requirement:

  • Possession of a valid Class C Pennsylvania driver's license.

Conditions of Employment:

  • This position requires that employees in this class have a Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
