The Housekeeper will ensure a pleasant and welcoming experience for all [Swan Hotel]{.underline}{rel="nofollow"} guests by maintaining a high standard of cleanliness within rooms and common areas as well as providing excellent guest service.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Clean rooms and common areas, ensuring cleanliness, tidiness, and hygiene standards are met
• Process laundry
• Welcome guests and respond to special requests with professionalism and patience
• Participate in large cleaning projects as needed
• Notify supervisors regarding any damages, deficits, safety hazards, or incidents
• Other duties as assigned

GENERAL OPERATIONS

While the primary focus of this position is guest services, the Housekeeper works as part of the entire NWM team, ensuring smooth operations. As a growing non-profit, we all pitch in for the heavy lifting, whether it's participating in all-hands projects and events, assisting visitors, or occasionally doing some literal heavy lifting.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Proven work experience as a housekeeper or related position
• Available to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Responsible, detail-oriented, proactive, and can represent the Swan Hotel and NWM in a friendly and enthusiastic manner
• Integrity and ability to work independently as well as a part of a team
• Must be at least 18 years old

HELPFUL QUALIFICATIONS

• CPR and/or First Aid Certification
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies
• Familiarity with Material Safety Data Sheets

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds

Comfortable climbing and descending stairs while carrying items

Frequently operating laundry equipment

Able to work standing up for an extended period of time
