Instrument and Control CSU Manager
KBR’s Sustainable Technology Solutions (STS) group is looking for an Instrument and Control CSU Manager to support the multi-billion-dollar Plaquemines project developing a Liquid Natural Gas export facility when fully developed will have an export capacity of up to 20 million metric tonnes per year. The facility’s location is about 20 miles south of New Orleans. This project is expected to be a multi-phase project spanning two years.
Aligning with KBR’s commitment to sustainability, the 630-acre site located on the Mississippi River provides deep-water access without the need for dredging, allowing for an expedited environmentally friendly development process.

This position is contingent upon having a current/valid TWIC card or having the ability to renew or obtain a TWIC card. The TWIC card must be kept current and maintained through employment.
The Instrument and Control CSU Manager will manage the I&C Commissioning team on site. This role will oversee the preparation of pre-commissioning and commissioning dossiers and review documentation for system completion such as ITRs, certificates, Red-Line Mark-Ups, punch status etc. The Instrumentation and Control CSU Manager will report to the Deputy Commissioning Director.
Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident
Responsibilities:
Identify required resources for testing (labor and materials), organize test teams and establish completion priorities
Ensure all commissioning resources are being utilized in a cost-effective manner
All Pre-Commissioning and CSU activities related to Instrumentation & Controls equipment including Telecommunication, Including Security, and IT
Oversee the testing of safety related control systems so that FSA and FERC requirements are met and documented
Manage the schedule in conjunction with the completions team utilizing an electronic completion system. Support walkdowns on site with a multi-disciplined team
Participate in regular progress and co-ordination meetings with Internal Project management and Client/Contractors
Produce an action plan and follow-up for the effective sign off of field generated punch lists
Review daily risk assessments and permits produced by the Area Superintendents for all site-based Pre-Commissioning and CSU activities
Assist in evaluation and selection of Commissioning Team staff members
Declare and assign roles and responsibilities for Commissioning team members
Responsible for the overall safety of the commissioning team
Experience & Skills:
Proven ability to take ownership of the Commissioning activities on a large greenfield construction site
Recent experience of a large Scale ICSS integration
Familiarity with construction and commissioning safety processes including Permit To Work, Lock-Out/ Tag-Out, Company Safety Program and safety audits
Proficiency in MS Office packages with the ability to access databases, extract data and create / contribute to reports
Proficient with electronic completion system such as CoConsole or WinPCS an advantage
Additional Qualifications:
In lieu of formal education 18 + years of relevant experience including 10 + years of experience with LNG projects
Or bachelor’s degree in engineering, or related field and 10 + years of relevant field experience with average experience of 20 + years
