Paid Bi-Weekly

Shifts: Various with rotating weekends

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must be a licensed Certified Nursing Assistant in Florida.

  • Must have a valid CPR card from the American Heart Association.

  • Must have a valid Florida driver’s license.

  • Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Competent computer skills.

  • Successful completion of the due diligence process to include, but not limited to, a Level II background check and drug test.

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience with therapeutic recreation programs and activities.

  • Experience in a long-term care environment.

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

    POSITION DESCRIPTION:

  • The incumbent will report directly to the Activities Director (Therapy Aide Supervisor).

  • Assist with developing, providing, implementation and properly documenting an ongoing program of activities designed to meet, in accordance with the comprehensive assessment, the interests and the physical, mental and psychosocial well-being of each resident on a daily basis including personal contact with a varying resident population and a varied work schedule that may include weekends, evenings, and holidays.

  • Assist with developing and implementation a program that improves or maintains physical, mental and psychosocial well-being of the resident.

  • Assist with developing an activities plan for each resident.

  • Responsible for the log documentation of that plan.

  • Assist with nourishments and transportation to meal service areas; provide snacks within the resident’s diet plan.

  • Follow established performance standards and perform duties according to policies and procedures.

  • Observe all facility safety, infection control policies and procedures. Maintain confidentiality of resident.

  • Responsible for the activity space and requesting of, equipment and supplies for the program, ensures they are safe and adequate for individual and/or group activities.

  • Performs all other related duties in an effective, timely, professional manner as assigned. Attend all in-service programs classes as assigned and complete assignment.

  • Follow Residents Rights’ policies as all times.
