Job Title: Heavy Equipment Mechanic

Job Description

Seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic to diagnose, service, and repair various systems on heavy equipment, including mechanical and computer electronic controls, transmissions, and pneumatic systems. Responsibilities include troubleshooting malfunctions, repairing track drive sprockets, idler wheels, hydraulic systems, and overhauling engines. The role involves maintaining tools and work areas in good condition, potentially training lower-level workers, and performing related tasks as assigned. Candidates may start training in the shop before moving to field assignments.

Hard Skills

  • Experience with Heavy Machinery (Excavators, Backhoes, Loaders, etc.)

  • Mechanical, Diesel, Electrical, Hydraulic, and Pneumatic repair skills

  • Brands such as Komatsu, CAT, John Deere, etc.

Soft Skills

  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair independently

  • Organizational skills

Job Type

This is a permanent position.

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Port Arthur, Texas.

Work Environment

Non-temperature controlled environment; initial training in-shop followed by field service assignments
