Overview:  An herbalist company committed to producing mushroom powders of the highest purity is looking for a Mushroom Production Associate to join their team in Port Angeles, WA. From cultivation through to processing, their mission is to create premium-quality mushroom powders that meet the strictest industry standards. They are looking for motivated individuals who share their passion for excellence and are ready to contribute to every stage of the production process. The ideal candidate will have excellent attention to detail, the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new tasks, and be capable of reading scales and measurements and performing mathematical conversions as needed.

JOB DUTIES:

May include but not limited to the following:

• Assist in all stages of mushroom powder production, including cultivation, drying, grinding, and packaging
• Manually mix 55-pound bags of mushroom powder to ensure uniformity and quality
• Read and follow precise recipe instructions to ensure correct ingredient ratios and production processes
• Accurately read and interpret scales and measurements for proper ingredient handling
• Perform basic math and conversions in your head to adjust recipes or scale production quantities as necessary
• Operate equipment and machinery safely and efficiently while following established protocols
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the production area to meet sanitation and safety standards
• Monitor product quality at different stages and report any deviations from standard operating procedures
• Adhere to strict quality control and safety guidelines throughout the production process
• Collaborate with team members to meet daily and weekly production targets
• Participate in training sessions and adapt to new tasks or technologies as required* *

Qualifications:

• Ability to lift and manually handle 55-pound bags repeatedly
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining product quality
• Ability to quickly learn and master new tasks in a fast-paced production environment
• Ability to accurately read and follow detailed instructions and measurements
• Comfortable with basic math and able to perform measurements and conversions in your head
• Previous experience in food production or manufacturing (preferred but not required)
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Good communication skills and a positive attitude toward learning and growth
• Familiarity with safety and sanitation protocols in a production environment (preferred)
• Ability to work in varying temperatures

Pay: $21.00/hour

Schedule:

Production facility open 7 days per week, 7:00AM-4:00PM. Must be available to work weekends.
