Crossing Guard
Date: July 1, 2016
Reports to: Director of Maintenance, Site Principal
Supervises: N/A
Qualifications: High School Diploma or Equivalent
Job Goal: Provide supervision of children while waiting to cross the street or
intersection, to and from school. Ensure the safety and enjoyment of all children.
Employment Terms:9 Month Contract
FLSA Classification:Nonexempt
Evaluation: Annually by Site Principal

Regular Requirements:Sit for extended periods; twist at the neck and trunk; bend and reach at, below and above shoulder level, repetitive use of fingers and hands to grasp and/or operate equipment; lift/move up to 15 pounds
Occasional Requirements:Walk, reach with hands and arms overhead, above shoulder and horizontally; lift/move up to 25 pounds
Visual Requirements:Close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, ability to adjust focus
Hearing/Speaking Requirements:Adequate to exchange information
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Be on duty at assigned times.

{=html} <!-- --> 1. Takes proper, safe action in case of emergency or injury.
{=html} <!-- --> 1. Safely gauges traffic flow and stops traffic in order to cross children across the street or intersection (at appropriately marked areas) to and from school.
