Summary:

The Burn Table Operator is responsible for operating a computer numerical control (CNC) burn table to cut carbon steel and other metals according to specifications. Must read and understand blueprints, input programs to the burn table, load materials, and inspect the finished product for accuracy and quality. They also maintain and troubleshoot the machines as needed.

The purpose of a Burn Table Operator is to operate a burn table to cut shaped metal items to the desired specifications. The Burn Table Operator is responsible for loading and unloading parts onto the burn table, adjusting the table settings, loading and unloading the cutting torch, and monitoring the cutting process. The Burn Table Operator also performs preventative maintenance and minor repairs on the burn table as needed. The Burn Table Operator must ensure that the materials being cut and shaped meet the desired specifications and that the cutting process is being done safely and accurately.

Summary :

The Burn Table Operator is responsible for the operation of the burn table to cut shaped metal components according to design specifications. The Operator should be able to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings, and must be able to set up and operate the machine to obtain desired results. The Operator must be able to inspect finished products for quality, accuracy, and conformity to customer requirements. The Operator must also be able to make necessary adjustments to the machine and its settings to ensure that the finished product meets design requirements. The Operator must be able to maintain the burn table, including changing and sharpening tools, ensuring that the table and its components are properly lubricated and maintained. The Burn Table Operator must be able to work in a safe manner and follow safety procedures. The Operator must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. The Operator must be able to stand and/or sit for extended periods of time, and must be able to reach, bend, and crouch. The Operator must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and meet production goals.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Operate burn table machinery
