Purpose: The A&D Territory Sales Representative will be responsible for generating revenue by selling tile products to potential customers outside the showroom, specifically within the assigned territory. This role involves building and maintaining relationships with the Architecture & Design (A&D) community, builders, developers, and contractors to understand their needs and deliver tailored tile solutions. General Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or related field.

  • Minimum 4+ years of outside sales experience; experience in the tile industry is strongly preferred.

  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Experience with regional travel and representing high-end, luxury brands.

  • Capable of executing unique sales strategies to compete for tile projects.

  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record and reliable transportation.

  • strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and email.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to engage in physical activities such as standing, walking, stooping, and kneeling regularly.

  • Ability to lift 15-30 lbs. regularly and up to 40 lbs. occasionally; team lifting required for items over 50 lbs.

  • Must have vision abilities including close vision and the ability to adjust focus.

Responsibilities

General Description:

  • Develop and implement a sales plan to achieve targets and increase revenue within the tile industry, focusing on the A&D market.

  • Identify and establish relationships with key decision-makers in the industry, including architects, designers, and contractors.

  • Conduct weekly sales calls to service existing clients and cold call 4-5 potential customers weekly.

  • Present and demonstrate tile products to potential customers.

  • Attend industry events and trade shows to promote tile products and services.

  • Utilize CRM software to track and manage customer data, maintaining daily updates.

  • Prepare proposals, quote prices, and provide sales and delivery information specific to tile products.

  • Monitor customer sales, margins, and assist with showroom operations as needed.

  • Prospect for new business opportunities and follow up on leads to generate sales.

  • Continuously organize and update the CRM system with client activities.

  • Work independently in an unsupervised environment to meet sales goals.

  • Use negotiation and influence skills to place tile displays in customer showrooms.

  • Perform timely client follow-ups through calls, emails, and letters.

  • Maintain organized client files and follow through on projects and programs.
