Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for an Accounts Payable Specialist in the manufacturing industry, located in Pompano Beach, Florida. In this role, you will be responsible for processing and managing various accounts payable activities, maintaining precise records, and communicating with vendors.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately process customer credit applications on a regular basis

• Maintain precise records of customer credit

• Efficiently handle a high volume of data entry tasks

• Execute weekly check runs, managing up to 75 invoices per week

• Stay updated with vendor systems to accurately report sales tax

• Scan and input invoices into the ERP system, specifically Databasics

• Regularly communicate with vendors to ensure timely payments

• Conduct follow-ups with internal teams regarding purchase orders

• Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action when necessary

• Stay involved in auditing and other accounting functions as required. Requirements • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems

• Experience with ADP - Financial Services

• Familiarity with Concur software

• Understanding of ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning

• Knowledge of general Accounting Functions

• Prior experience with Accounts Payable (AP)

• Familiarity with Accrual Accounting principles

• Experience in Auditing

• Understanding of Automated Clearing House (ACH) processes

• Proficiency in Account Coding

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or similar field

• Proven ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Attention to detail and accuracy

• Ability to work independently and in a team environment

• Strong problem-solving skills

• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
