Job Description:

Position Summary: The on-site Human Resources Business Partner will support client groups at our Pomona, CA site with the support of HR-shared services. Client groups include Operations, Engineering, R&D, Regulatory Affairs/Quality Assurance, and Supply Chain. Acts as a strategic advisor to client groups in delivering HR solutions to attract, develop, and retain talent to meet the company’s strategic goals while embodying the organization’s values. Act as a change leader to accelerate the adoption of changes that align with the company’s strategic goals and values while building credibility and trust throughout the organization.

T his position will be based in Pomona, CA in the near future and will work from our location in Orange, CA in the interim

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Acts as a strategic and trusted advisor and thought partner for client group leaders.

  • Provides input into creating talent and organizational priorities to achieve current and future business objectives.

  • Proactively analyzes workforce trends and metrics that drive talent planning including turnover and workforce capacity.

  • Responds to employee inquiries, concerns, and complaints and escalate when required.

  • Conducts investigations and completes all required documentation.

  • In collaboration with HR shared services, leave of absence management vendor, and Environment Health & Safety (EH&S), effectively manage leave of absences.

  • In compliance with the Adults with Disabilities Act (ADA), manages the interactive process with all required documentation.

  • Monitors the annual completion of performance reviews and organizational talent assessment and facilitates calibration sessions with People Leaders to support talent management and succession/business continuity planning.

  • Liaison between Talent Acquisition/Temporary Agencies and People Leaders to support the recruitment of talent with the required skills. Conducts thorough interviews.

  • Develops, coordinates, and facilitates in-person and virtual training to ensure accurate interpretation and effective implementation of HR policies and procedures and to further develop skills that contribute to business objectives.

  • Supports site employee engagement efforts and coordinates events including but not limited to lunch and learns and employee feedback sessions. Active participant in the Engagement Committee in collaboration with other operating companies.

  • Partners with Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) to ensure compliance with safety policies and procedures to ensure the well-being of our employees. Active participant in the Safety Committee.

  • Stays abreast of federal, state, and local laws and regulations and keeps HR leadership and legal abreast to ensure company policies and procedures align.

  • Utilizes continuous improvement tools through the Envista Business System (EBS) and actively participate in continuous improvement events to support business objectives

  • Travels up to 20% via ground between local sites.

Job Requirements:

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree required. PHR or SPHR certification is highly preferred.

  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive human resources experience in a generalist role in the state of California is required.

  • Experience working in a matrix corporate environment is highly preferred.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of federal and California employment laws and regulations is required.

  • In-depth knowledge of FMLA and ADA compliance is required.

  • Experience performing transactions through HRIS, preferably Workday, is required.

  • Technical aptitude to quickly learn various computer business systems required.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office skills including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel (i.e., Pivot tables, VLOOKUP) required.

  • Strong analytical and conceptual thinking skills are required.

  • Ability to build and maintain good rapport and handle situations with confidence, tact, and resourcefulness required.

  • Strong listening skills and ability to build relationships with individuals with diverse personalities.

  • Must possess a high degree of initiative and resourcefulness in completing work assignments and work with a sense of urgency in a fast-paced environment.

  • Good presentation skills and professionalism are required.

  • Comfortable working with ambiguity and a high degree of autonomy and strong decision-making skills required.

Target Market Salary Range:

Actual compensation packages take into account a wide range of factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to geographic location; skill sets; relevant education and certifications; depth of experience; performance; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed reasonable estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Envista, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The total compensation package for this position may also include an annual performance bonus, medical/dental/vision benefits, 401K match, and/or other applicable compensation plans.
