FAIVELEY TRANSPORT CZECH a.s., is the part of the Wabtec Corporation, which after merging with the French company Faiveley Transport in 2016 and the American company GE Transportation in 2019 became the largest manufacturer of components for the railway and transit industry. We are proud to deliver products for major transportation projects worldwide as pantographs, electro - mechanical switches, couplers, brakes, trolleybus collectors.

How will you make a difference?

  • Develop & Manage the Production Team

  • Establish and implement Production Strategy, in liaison with FT CZECH Operations Director

  • Manage the production according to S&OP and Master Production Schedule –Monitor and achieve Production KPIs as defined in STRAP and agreed with FT CZECH Operations Director

  • Help to define and implement actions from the Continuous Improvement Plan

  • Optimize work and safety conditions

  • Participate in the Cost Saving Program of the plan

  • Implement and respect Quality System Procedures

  • Issue and monitor budget and 3 years Business Plan

  • Report periodically to the FT CZECH Operations Director

  • Participate as required in Corporate FT Group activities and initiatives

  • Support to Project Management, Engineering, Purchasing and Supply Chain Departments

  • Ensure subordinates adhere to all relevant safety rules and regulations

  • Stop production and deliveries where there is a risk of safety, quality escape or other negative consequence to the company

  • Right to decide about processes where quality and technical standards are not being maintained

  • Approval of expenditures in accordance with FT Czech finance procedures

  • Penalize all employees not following roles and standards

  • Award employees for actions that support company goals above and beyond their daily responsibilities

  • Ask all responsible employees for corrective and preventive action implementation

  • Representing company in negotiations with third parties in line with main responsibilities

What do we want to know about you?

  • Secondary education/ University degree in technical direction

  • Relevant professional experience in production management in industrial company

  • Good English and Czech language skills, PC skills (MS Office)

  • Knowledge of methods of production management

  • Knowledge of Lean and Safety processes is a big advantage

  • strong and mature personality
