JOB SUMMARY

This role provides a high-level of package design leadership across an active product portfolio. The role is a key function in driving creative development through print production, to deliver on the brand strategy through the established brand design language.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

75% Production Design (Packaging)

  • Ownership: As the main designer, you will fully own the packaging project, ensuring every detail aligns with our brand vision. The creation of packaging artwork files of various sizes, formats and structures in a manner aligned with our brand guidelines

  • Focus on Packaging: Your main charge is the creation of compelling packaging artwork across various formats and structures, making our brand's visual identity unmistakable

  • Design with Impact: From conception to final artwork, apply your design prowess to dielines/blueprints, adhering to our stringent brand guidelines

  • Support Brand Evolution: Own the packaging style guide and design roadmap

  • Support design projects or consults specific to product launches

25% Project Management

  • In partnership with the Manager, create and maintain a sustainable operations model for package production within Polaris PG&A

  • Manage the day-to-day creative production process

  • Build Relationships: Forge strong connections across teams, advocating for brand consistency and design excellence at every turn

  • Provide print and packaging guidance to the cross-functional teams (i.e., packaging guidelines, print specifications, regulatory standards)

  • Ensure efficient management of current processes and print/supplier partner relationships

  • Oversee graphic review with cross-functional teams for approvals and sign-off of final printer proofs for color and content accuracy

  • Generate design and graphic timelines - coordinating cross-functional efforts from start to finish

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

  • Exceptional Project Management Skills: Ability to multitask and collaborate with individuals at all levels within the brand, marketing, and business organization.

  • Experienced in Product Packaging Design: You bring a solid background in packaging design, ready to tackle challenges and innovate within our brand parameters

  • Adept in Adobe Creative Suite: Your toolbelt is packed with Adobe Creative Suite expertise, allowing you to bring creative visions to life with ease and precision

  • Multitasking Master: Juggling multiple projects and deadlines is second nature to you, without ever compromising on the quality of your work

  • 4-year degree or equivalent work experience in a CPG, agency or in-house creative department

  • 5+ years of package design or creative experience at an agency or in-house team

  • Creative Brief, Cross-Functional, Enterprise Marketing, Graphic Design, Leadership, Marketing, Multitasking, Printers, Printing, Product Packaging, Project/Program Management, Proofreading, Regulatory Requirements, Team Lead/Manager, Time Management

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Standard office environment; hybrid

The pay range for Minnesota is $70,000 to $85,000 per year. Individual salaries are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills, and geography.
