Nexus Director of Clinical Services in Plymouth, Minnesota

Description Nexus Family Healing is looking for a Director of Clinical Services to join our fantastic clinical leadership team in Minnesota! Position Summary: Our Nexus Home Office Director of Clinical Services will support several agency clinical departments and spearheads clinically-related projects in collaboration with Nexus programs. They will implement strategic plans and organizational initiatives to achieve individual and family outcomes. This individual will function as a Nexus management team member and work as a collaborative member of the clinical department to assist in program management and oversight as necessary. This position will be assigned to specific agencies with a focus on a content expert area, such as (but not limited too) aftercare, growth of services, training and/or nursing. Primary responsibilities: Clinical Training Oversight Oversees the organization's clinical training standards and staff development opportunities; assesses staffing and training needs within the organizational parameters and strives to attract, engage, and retain qualified individuals Remains current on best practices of populations served and collaborates with programs to design necessary clinical foundational trainings to help the organization meet positive outcomes for specialized populations Expertise in Nexus foundational trainings with the ability to facilitate trainings Clinical Project Development, Management & Maintenance Assesses the clinical needs of Nexus' services and initiates the development of goals and initiatives that will support the ongoing improvement of service outcomes Demonstrates knowledge within the clinical treatment realm; provides strong consultation to the agency clinical team and supports the overall clinical mission of Nexus Family Healing Remains current on best practice research and develops training or educational initiatives that will support service excellence and consistent delivery Assists in the development of clinical strategic plans and the corporate clinical budget; demonstrates the ability to manage multiple strategic projects and implements necessary steps to meet deadlines within budget Collaborates with the sites to ensure that the Nexus Practice Model is being implemented and treatment activities reflect our practice principles; develops goals and objectives with others based on improvement needs Provides program guidance and consultation as needed for program and service stability. Quality Improvement & Trauma Informed Clinical Excellence Remains knowledgeable and monitors clinically related documents within the electronic health record (EHR) system; coordinates changes to clinical documentation with CQI and other clinical leaders Represents the clinical department in the organization's use of the EHR and assists in maintaining clinical excellence through the monitoring of quality improvement activities Represents the clinical department on CQI and other related committees to ensure department initiatives are being implemented effectively into clinical service In collaboration with CQI, supports the development of systems to track outcomes related to service delivery and to ensure specific clinical initiatives as needed Coordinates and leads the clinical review to support and maintain clinical excellence Coordinates with site clinical leaders in the monitoring and improvement of key service outco e measures. Council of Accreditation's (COA) and State Regulation Clinical adherence Maintains knowledge of state regulations and COA's training and services standards, monitors, advocates, and guides Nexus' adherence to, and implementation of regulations and standards Monitors the organization's clinical adherence to state licensing regulations and the Council of Accreditation's (COA) training and service standards Creates and revises clinical policies and procedures which reflect regulatory and organizational standards Develops and oversees the maintenance of standardized treatment practices related to accreditation standards and expectations. Direct Services & New Program Development Assists in new program development activities and/or providing direction of new service development and expansion as needed Supports organizational expansion by supervising new program development, providing direct services on an emergency basis, or in providing supervisory activities as needed Provides clinical supervision or consultation to employees related to clinical initiatives or in the integration of training or service-related certifications Provides direct supervision, mentoring, or consultation to assigned staff or programs as needed Assists in integrating Nexus policies and procedures related to clinical and training standards into new programs or services; maintains applicable and working knowledge of all Nexus policies and procedures. Qualifications: Master's degree required in a clinical field with the highest level of licensure attained, such as an LICSW, LMFT, LPCC, or Licensed Psychologist 3+ years of experience providing leadership in a residential setting Minimum of 5 years of experience in related field Minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience required Valid driver's license required.
