Robert Bosch LLC seeks Sr. Software Engineer (Multiple Positions) at its facility located at 15000 N Haggerty Road, Plymouth, MI 48170. Design, develop, and implement functional algorithms for business and customer requirements for cloud, edge-based, and embedded control systems for Bosch automated valet parking (AVP)product. Applications include vehicle guidance, perception, object avoidance, communication, and safety, most of which is performed in a cloud environment or via edge computing. Write, debug, maintain and test AVP application. Develop, improve, and adapt Bosch automated valet parking (AVP) services and operations. Design and develop apps, services for transferring data using different protocols. Design and build API’s and services for AVP services and operations. Code and test features in collaboration with program and customer teams. Develop and build new features and functionality include analyze and fix bugs or defects mainly offline, in the parking test lab environment, or inactive installations of the AVP infrastructure-based technology. Update existing software and/or develop new software solutions to address a specific need or solve a particular business problem. Provide on-going maintenance, support and enhancements in existing systems and platforms. Support, develop, and deploy AVP infrastructure-based capabilities collaborating across automotive and real estate customers and markets. Responsible for requirements analysis and translate into code, solutions, and design documents utilizing Bosch-proprietary processes. Apply technical expertise across hardware and software products, integrating vehicle with cloud architecture. Utilizing Bosch-proprietary tools and processes, and also third-party generic tools to create software for vehicle level functions and perform integration, verification & validation testing. Diagnose, debug and solve issues related to vehicle hardware and software. Cooperate with product owner, solution architect, and projects managers in support of customer projects. Collaborate in across functional, global team to design, build and deploy customer functional requirements. REQS: This position requires a bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Software Engineering or a related field plus 5 years of experience as a Software Developer, Software Engineer or other occupation involving System and Software development. Additionally, the applicant must have employment experience with: (1) C and python programming languages; (2) Modern development tools such as GIT, Jenkins or JIRA for software lifecycle management; (3) Designing, developing, and owning advanced driver assistance or automated driving features and algorithms; (4) Software development and requirements engineering according to the V-Model and Continuous Integration processes; (5) Analyzing control and perception system data for feature algorithm implementations; and (6) Implementation of safety-relevant functions according to ISO26262 and/or IEC 61508. Travel Requirements: Up to 20% domestic and international travel. Telecommuting: Hybrid - 2 days a week in office.
