The Position

The US Women’s Health Business Unit is a critical part of Organon as a Women’s Health focused company, bringing products to millions of women in communities all over the country. We’re commercial stewards (marketing, sales, access) driving growth of Organon’s largest product in the largest market with the ability to scale in support of go-to-markets for an emerging Business Development (BD) portfolio.

The Executive Director of Sales, US Women’s Health, has responsibility for driving growth of Organon’s flagship product with a team of dedicated Clinical Account Specialists and Account Executives. This leadership role has management responsibility for an organization of 150 employees, which includes: Clinical Training Specialists, Clinical Account Specialists, Regional Managers, Account Executives, Account Directors and Regional Directors. The role reports to the Associate Vice President of the U.S. Women’s Health Business Unit (WHBU) and is a key member of the US Women’s Health Business Unit Leadership Team, which is responsible for shaping the priorities that drive optimal business, operational, and cultural performance of the WHBU.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and communicate a clear vision and strategy for field-based colleagues that motivates and energizes the team.

  • Maintain a deep understanding of a complex contraception and Women’s Health market, including reimbursement, procurement, and clinical dynamics.

  • Provide thought leadership, direction, and prioritization for critical Sales and Account Management activities including customer and account segmentation, approaches that improve provider competence and confidence, and performance measurement.

  • Drive attainment of business goals and growth targets for promoted brands by directing field-based execution, including a compensation design that aligns to those goals.

  • Foster relationships with key customers by maintaining an active presence in the field to inform customer-led priorities and opportunities.

  • Take a proactive role as activator of field-based execution that implements relevant Provider and Account Management strategies informed in collaboration with Marketing and Market Access colleagues.

  • Collaborate with Marketing, Market Access, and Sales Operations leaders to create alignment, focus, and priorities that inform resource allocation and decisions for the WHBU.

Leadership Responsibilities

  • Provide a consistent leadership voice and clear direction to field-based teams and headquarters colleagues based on active listening, ownership of the strategy, and a clear vision.

  • Attract, lead, and develop a strong, results-oriented, and diverse team with a high level of trust, empowerment, and psychological safety.

  • Proactively inform new ways of working through training, incentive compensation, and alignment structures to ensure optimal customer facing operations in a changing landscape.

  • Operate with a solutions orientation and exhibit a bias for action and accountability.

  • Orchestrate customer facing priorities and actions, and people priorities through a collaborative Sales Leadership Team.

  • Collaborate with other Sales, Account Management and Sales Operations leaders across the US market to identify synergies and foster an Enterprise Mindset.

Required Education, Experience and Skills

  • Required: BA/BS.

  • Deep experience in life sciences commercial leadership defined by a track record in Sales, Account Management, Marketing or Managed Markets leadership, including leadership over customer-facing teams.

  • Fifteen plus years of senior management experience leading customer-facing teams (manager of manager level).

  • US-based strategy and execution experience.

  • Experience leveraging advanced CRM technology to drive business results.

  • Demonstrated ability to attract, lead, and motivate a strong results-oriented team.

  • Demonstrated agility and ability to anticipate and respond to evolving internal and external dynamics.

  • Demonstrated history of strong performance.

  • Experience translating divisional or brand strategies into customer facing execution priorities.

  • Experience in the buy and bill market.

  • Experience leading a large, geographically diverse organization.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in Women’s Health.

  • Large, organized customer account management.

Location: This role is based in Plymouth Meeting, PA but has the option for being remote based.

Travel: 25-50% US travel.

The applicable salary range for this position in the U.S. is stated below. Benefits offered in the U.S. include a retirement savings plan, paid vacation and holiday time, paid caregiver/parental and medical leave, and health benefits including medical, prescription drug, dental, and vision coverage in accordance with the terms and conditions of the applicable plans.

Annualized Salary Range (US)

$222,700.00 - $378,600.00
