Job Description

The Position

The Associate Director US Business Technology (BT) Sales Technology Lead is responsible for sales technology ecosystem enabling Organon’s US Commercial function. This includes driving technology definition and delivering capabilities and solutions that enable US Commercial strategy realization. The candidate will work with cross-functional teams to guide the conceptualization, architecture, design, and delivery of solutions that leverage software as a service, data, automation, machine learning, and modern user-centric approaches.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure US commercial teams have the sales tools, systems, and data needed to excel in a competitive market. To ensure maximum business value can be achieved this will require matching business outcome potential with technical opportunities - balancing experiments vs scalable solution design and buy vs build options – for optimal return on investment.

  • Align our US sales strategy to business objectives by providing the sales team with the necessary tools, content, and information to sell effectively.

  • Assess the needs of the sales team and develop and implement strategic solutions to increase productivity and performance.

  • Implement and manage sales enablement tools and platforms to streamline and automate the sales process.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand current and future needs.

  • Oversee the integration of various sales and marketing technologies and ensure seamless data flow between local and global systems.

  • Coordinate cross-functional BT resources to ensure task alignment with business programs.

  • Optimize the sales technology ecosystem, including analytics, CRM, and sales automation.

  • Guide development teams in building software capabilities with the highest business and customer impact.

  • Manage and develop technology product backlog, as well as user stories for implementation.

  • Stay updated on emerging technologies with a focus on field users and customer experience, omnichannel engagement, cost savings, and scalable options.

  • Measure and report on the effectiveness of sales enablement initiatives.

  • Ensure compliance with privacy regulations and safe handling of sensitive healthcare and patient data.

The role will report to the Associate Vice President, US Commercial BT, and will partner, plan and deliver the sales technology agenda for US Commercial.

Required Experience and Skills

  • Seven plus years relevant experience in BT, commercial business, or management.

  • Ability to lead and promote collaboration across internal and external teams.

  • Experience integrating tools into a sales and marketing ecosystem.

  • Knowledge of agile planning tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence).

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, influencing, and relationship skills.

  • Results-oriented with the proven ability to develop and implement plans.

Preferred Education, Experience Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in software engineering, business management or related discipline.

  • Experience in pharmaceutical or healthcare industry.

  • Experience in a product line/product owner role preferred with SAFe certifications.

  • Background in life science, sales and marketing functions.

  • Experience in managing data integration and technology solutions.

  • Experience in program and project management, demonstrating the ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Expertise in project scoping, scheduling, risk management, and performance tracking.

  • Knowledge of CRM systems, sales enablement platforms, content management systems, training and coaching platforms and data analytics tools.

$124,000.00 - $210,700.00
