About the role

Responsible for set-up and maintenance of all electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic and mechanical systems on equipment used in the production process. Works directly with the engineering group to monitor and improve processes for output and waste levels. Provides leadership and training for associates on production floor. Must project positive attitude with excellent team skills. Responsible for providing leadership and ownership of process performance issues as well as proactively driving operational improvements.

About you

  • Requires a high degree of technical skill and demonstrated proficiency in working with a wide variety of production equipment. Critical skills needed are a working knowledge of mechanical, electro-mechanical and electronic equipment and the ability to recognize, define and correct equipment deficiencies in a timely fashion.

  • Knowledge of current and state of the art technology in a wide variety of disciplines with familiarity in electronic controls, high-speed assembly operations, standards development, statistical engineering, and data collection systems (MES, etc)

  • Demonstrated knowledge and proficiency of PLC operations, robotics, Maintenance, Programming and the ability to read schematics or machining, tooling design, tooling assembly, part drawings and pneumatic schematics.

  • Able to interpret and comprehend basic Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC's) ladder logic.

  • Able to trouble shoot Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC's) (Allen Bradley preferred).

  • Possess proficient skills in electrical industrial systems.

  • Able to comprehend and adhere to specifications, procedures, requirements both written and verbal.
