Bachelors' degree in Biology, Microbiology, or related field

Shift

Monday - Friday 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM

Job Description

• Operate, prepare, and control seed and production fermenters.

• Follow SOPs and manually manipulate valves on fermenters.

• Perform sterilization checks and clean and sanitize fermenters.

• Monitor levels on all fermenters.

• Apply basic microbiology techniques, including aseptic technique.

• Use lab equipment such as microscopes, centrifuges, pumps, and scales.

• Prepare media and clean glassware.

• Complete downstream processing of bacterial cultures.

• Take a lead role in the production area.

• Communicate with the supervisor on production progress.

• Monitor daily activity in the department.

• Train and mentor employees on responsibilities, technical abilities, and overall development in the lab.

• Clean the biological production area and assist where needed
