Kanaan Communications, LLC Mechanic in Pleasant Grove, Utah

Overview:

We are currently located in Pleasant Grove, but will be moving to Salem at the start/middle of 2025.

The Mechanic follows directions from supervisors and assists with repairing and maintaining everything from small engine to large heavy equipment. Also vehicles ranging from Trucks to transports.

Responsibilities:

  • Diagnoses mechanical problems.

  • Applies knowledge, skill, and mechanical aptitude to correctly fix vehicles and equipment.

  • Aware of and applies basic rules for safe construction and mechanic work.

  • Does physically demanding work (work in awkward or cramped positions; lift 50 pounds repeatedly; tolerate loud noises; work outside in all weather conditions; and experience cuts and bruises).

  • Works overtime as necessary and travels as requested.

  • Pleasant and tactful when dealing with co-workers.

  • Understands and abides by all relevant OSHA regulations.

  • Has a valid Medical Card.

  • Able to pass a drug test.

  • Meets the DOT English language qualifications.

  • Uses hand tools and power tools.

  • Willing and able to travel to do field mechanic work.

  • Assist all supervisors, operators, laborers and other mechanics as requested.

    We are currently offering a $200 sign-on bonus if you, as the new employee, stays for 30 plus days

Qualifications:

  • Willing to work in a noisy environment.

  • Willing to work in awkward or cramped positions.

  • Thorough knowledge of mechanical operations.

  • Excellent mechanical aptitude.

  • Has personal tools and be willing to use them on the job.

  • Able to use powers tools.

  • Excellent working knowledge of automotive electronics

  • Repairs and services all types of vehicles and equipment in the fugal fleet.

  • Follows directions.

  • Has basic math and reading skills.

  • Prompt, reliable, and consistently hard working.

  • Safely works around heavy equipment.

  • Willing to work with potentially harmful materials, chemicals, and fumes, and be able to work safely in such conditions.

  • Self-motivated.

  • Performs tasks with minimal direction.

  • Insures that the repairs of the entire shop are completed quickly and accurately

  • Operates all equipment and drives trucks, when necessary
